Our Program

The ABIC program is guided by a treatment philosophy that is client-centered,

outcome-oriented, interdesciplinary, and committed to innovation. The ABIC 

clinical team is in direct communication with referring physicians, third party

payors, and family members. Our programs are structured along a progressive

cost schedule that permits the most effective and efficient utilization of funds

and benefits. 

 

Individualized Treatment Programs are conducive to the individual treatment goals

and enabling an individual the opportunity to achieve his/her maximum level of

functional independent living within overall expectations.  Objectives to meet this

goal are as follows:

• Maximize independent living, communication, social interaction, and cognitive functioning skills

• Maximize vocational or educational endeavors

• Maximize length of stay efficiency

• Meet long term goals set at initial evaluation

• Maintain or improve functional status at discharge 

 

Our Clinical Team

ABIC's clinical team uses the expertise and experience of brain injury rehabilitation specialists, including:

• Physicians who manage our patients' complex medical needs

• Direct care staff who provide compassionate, evidence-based care to each patient

• Physical, occupational and speech therapists who aid patients in a comprehensive treatment program

• Psychologists and neuropsychologists who focus on cognitive, emotional or behavioral issues
